Ways We Do Community:

Sunday Gathering:

The Sunday Gathering is where we as imperfect people come together as family and follow Jesus. It’s a space to worship God with our whole heart, be transformed by Scripture, and to simply be with one another. Community isn’t defined by age, but by the Gospel that changes everything. Here, we’re reminded that church isn’t something we attend—it’s a body we belong to. Every person matters, every gift is needed, and together we are built up as the body of Christ. 

If I am in high school,, how can I be involved in the Sunday Gathering?

Everything. Our culture is the same as Jesus’ — anyone and everyone is invited in. This includes pre-gathering prayer at 9:20, serving in any capacity, and being in community with everyone who calls Heart Church home. As young people at the Sunday gathering, we sit together in the front left of the gathering space, to worship and grow alongside each other. After the gathering we encourage you to be in community! That could look like lingering in the lobby, or upstairs in the YC lounge where there is a half pipe, and multiple different games to play.

If I am in middle school, how can I be involved in the Sunday gathering?

Every Sunday morning we have our own middle school gathering upstairs in the YC lounge. This is where middle schoolers from any school can hear about the Word together, play a game, and join the main gathering space to worship through song. This is where lives are transformed by the power of the Gospel, learning that following Jesus is for us here and now, not something that we grow into later.

Groups:

Groups are the heartbeat of belonging at Heart Youth Culture. We believe that a consistent, Gospel centered community is one of the most important things to have as followers of Jesus. This is where young people of the same age and gender meet every week to share real life, learn from the Word, and grow in how to practically follow Jesus in everything. This is where faith becomes personal and relationships grow deep. Groups are where we are known, loved, and challenged, as we walk into life with Jesus that not only changes what we believe but how we live.

Salt & Light:

Salt & Light is where faith moves outward. We believe that the Gospel truly changes everything, so that no matter where we go, who we encounter, or where life takes us, God’s kingdom can be expressed by how we live, love, and serve. This is for any high schooler of any grade, male and female, who wants to live out their faith. This intentional time is dedicated to learning, being challenged, and fully equipping young people to be the Salt and Light of the world. 

Just like the early church, we meet at a home and come together for the sole purpose of becoming the salt and light of the earth through the Holy Spirit to impact the world. We believe that this movement of young people, coming alive in the Gospel and living into the Great Commission, will make a difference in this world.
